The United Nations Trust Fund to End Violence Against Women was established by the United Nations General Assembly in 1996.
The UN Trust Fund works with NGO partners all over the world, investing in effective and innovative programmes aimed at preventing and responding to all forms of violence against women and girls.
The UN Trust Fund conducts an annual global call for proposals. The process for selection is open, competitive and merit based.
Selected grantees receive funding and expert technical support from the UN Trust Fund and UN Women for effective and sustainable initiatives to prevent, address, reduce and ultimately eliminate violence against women.
